these are my politics.

"That is the problem with government these days. They want to do things all the time; they are always very busy thinking of what things they can do next. That is not what people want. People want to be left alone to look after their cattle."

- Alexander McCall Smith/ Mma Ramotswe

"Just as it is easy to think the State has a lot of different objects – military, political, economic, and what not. But in a way things are much simpler than that. The State exists simply to promote and to protect the ordinary happiness of human beings in this life. A husband and wife chatting over a fire, a couple of friends having a game of darts in a pub, a man reading a book in his own room or digging in his own garden – that is what the State is there for. And unless they are helping to increase and prolong and protect such moments, all the laws, parliaments, armies, courts, police, economics, etc., are simply a waste of time."

- C. S. Lewis

post scriptum: a note of forewarning: I do not intend for this blog to continue for much longer, and I shall probably bring it to a close at the year's end (because I like doing things in such orderly fashion.) I have only a few more things to say to the world, then I'll bring things to a stop. :) I have greatly, greatly appreciated every view and comment and post-reading. thank you for them all. (:

so, you can expect a couple more posts, and then my farewell notice. just sayin'.

Aw, you're too kind. *scuffs foot sheepishly* That's very nice of you both to say so, and it makes me very happy to hear. (: but I'm running out of good things to say on this blog. ^_^ Thanks both so much for reading it. :D

NONSENSE AND BALDERDASH.

:|

Life may grow busy, but don't CLOSE the blog. You may not post for many months, but don't STOP posting altogether.

And I shall stand on that statement. So help me pie. <_<

..... really?

Please don't.

Long breaks are allowed.

Closing your glorious blog is not.

Thanks for asking, though.

^_^

y'all are far too nice. if it IS a break, it'll be a long one. I hate leaving half-finished things lying around, and it would bug me terribly if this blog was lying only half-dormant, posts jetting out of it sporadically like so much vanilla water from a volcanic fissure! *waves arms excitedly, then comes to end of analogy and stops*

*phew* Well, you made it sound so final in the post XD Glad you're not leaving permanently, at least. And long breaks are understandable...alas, that life eventually gets to us all. Alas for the days when writers were young and had plenty of time for writing and chatting and battles. :P

I'm completely discombobulated right now... How shall I respond?

Obviously, you know your own life better than I do, so if you have your own reasons for taking a good break or *sob* shutting down... It's your decision.

But, if your only reason for bringing your brilliant blog to a close is lack of inspiration... I beseech you with all that is within me to do no such thing! There are so many good things to share with the world if only you look for them! (and find time to write them down... which I'll admit it difficult)

*drops dramatically to knees in pleading* Slay not the Jabberwocky! Keep her living still!!!

Jake - well, I /was/ being final. >:| And so there.

Alas for those days indeed. >_< Alas, alas.

Sir Ninja Tim - Discombobluation is a strange state of mind. o_o I'm not sure I recommend it for long periods of time.

your beseechment is eversokind. It really is the finding-of-time which is crucial; I'd find things to post, every now and again, but investing a good hour in silly formatting trifles and introductory whatnots seems unwiseish to this spy. hum. We'll see what happens. As with much of my life at this moment, I really amn't sure where this is going. >_> But I do intend to close it down for a few months, at the very least.

^we can call if Jabberwocky hibernation, if you will...

I concur with all these here comments! Hibernation sounds like a good idea, if that's what you need. :-)
